Best settings for broadcast

Hi There

I'm shooting an interview for broadcast, they've expressed they want it in HD, have'nt confirmed 720P or 1080i as yet, But I'm curious to what scene file to use for a broadcast setup, also should I use the film cam mode or video mode, frame rate also seems to be a question mark although I know I should be shooting in 29.97 or 30 fps

thanks

(shooting with HVX-200)

Everything I have done for broadcast with the HVX has been SD - DVCPRO50. I would imagine you need to confirm what kind of look they are going for.

Newsey - Blacks not too crushed, high detail, 60i or maybe 60p. CineD

Reality - Popped colors, higher contrast, high detail, 60i. CineV or BPress.

I doubt they will be looking for 24p, but if they do, it will probably be 'over 60i'. Avoid 30p.

I would suggest video mode, and stay in 1/60th.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for your info AwakenedFilms, I had'nt even considered shooting in the DVCPRO50 mode I understand it's close quality to Digi Betacam is that correct?

Also as far as HD goes could I still shoot in 1080i or 720P making sure that I am in video mode?
