Since I am going to buy an HVX and use the P2 system for HD transfer I only want to buy a good SD card for my Mac. I don't want to pay the extra dough for HD capturing just yet. I'll wait until the professional intel Macs are released for that.
Currently I have a dual 1.8 GHZ G5 (non PCIe).
I searched through the archives and a lot of people speak highly of the Kona LS so I was thinking of going with that.
Basically what's important to me is:
10 or 12 bit composite , SDI, and s-video inputs.
DVCPRO 50 support.
Balanced audio inputs.
Final Cut Pro support.
Hassle free installation and DEPENDABILITY.
I don't care about having a break out box or easy access. It would be nice for the card to accelerate renders in Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Motion.
Any quick suggestions?
