best scene ever

- The opening scene from "The Clockwork Orange"
- The scene where Alex is being treated, from "The Clockwork Orange"
- The scene where Birdy is playing the piano and Ed walks in, from "The Man who wasn't there"
- The scene where agent Dale Cooper is in the black lodge, from Twin Peaks
- De Niro's final monologue in front of the mirror, frin "Raging bull"
- De Niro's "are you talking to me", from "Taxi Driver"
...hum...there's so many...

i bet alot of u havent even seen this movie but, the best movie ever made is RUMBLE FISH. and the scene is when the motorcycle boy rides up and says, "whats this, another glorious battle for the kingdom?"

if u havent seen it watch it now.

btw, my avatar is a still from that scene.

Dude, I have been hyping Rumble Fish on here all kinds...it just isn't for the masses.

This is my desktop image

...it was too big for my signature.

Well DeSica, its nice to meet another person who loves rumble fish, i havent met many. most just dont get it. its a peice of art work unrivaled by anything else.

the motorcycle boy is the most unique character ive ever seen. im suprised mickey rourke was able to pull that part off. the guy in the movie said it best when he said. " thats a deep mother fu**er, like a prince in exile."

This hasn't been my experience with the film. Although it wasn't critically or financially succesful, film junkies (particulary filmmakers) that I have talked to always seem to really enjoy it.

I watched this for the first time in years recently and was surprised at how sophisticated it is. It seemed to have much more thought and care than The Outsiders ever did and visually, it is some of Coppola's best work; just short of the GF's and AN.

It reminded me how cool Mickey Rourke was and could have been. Visually, it is a rare masterpiece.

Middle America not being familiar with it doesn't say much in these circles.

The end scene of The Vanishing.
Pretty much the entirety of "Showdown at the House of Blue Leaves" segment of Kill Bill.
The end scene of Half Nelson
The Grey Havens scene of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

But these are not the best scenes ever, that's simply subjective, this has become a list of our favorite scenes.

All time favourite: Angel Heart
The scene where Louis Cypher eats the egg.

Opening scene in American Graffity where Terry bumps wit his scooter into a trash can (and that was not in the script)

The Carmen Miranda "Karaoke" scene in Radio Days

Domino effect in The Mumy where Rachel Welsh trips over the book shelfes

Every "flashback" scene in the JFK movie.
In my opinion this film is the holy grail of editing

Frank

The "China man peed on my rug scene" from the Big Lebowski. or the introduction of "Jesus" scene from the same movie.

"It's a sweater!"

When Jefe and the guys get El Guapo a birthday present in Three Amigos, which he then ties around his neck like at a country club. Definitely my favorite comedy scene.

The final scene with Anjelica Huston in The Darjeeling Limited where she is having a conversation with her sons "without words". Beautiful.

Or even from the same movie, the Indian boy's funeral. What imagery!!

GOODFELLAS. The Stedi-cam scene, where Ray Liotta & L.Bracco go into the nightclub through the kitchen.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Opening scene.

FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH. Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool scene.

GODFATHER 2. When DeNiro takes out the mob boss during the celebration.

ANY scene from 'most' COEN Bros films

ANY scene from MONTY PYTHON'S HOLY GRAIL or LIFE OF BRIAN

The scene in Apocalypse Now where Mr. Clean (Lawrence Fishburne's character) is shot dead while listening to the tape from his mother.

"... do the right thing. Stay out of the way of the bullets.
And bring your honey home all in one piece. Because
we love you. Love, Mama."

But this child is already dead...

The voice of Mama, combined with the expression of The Chief, messes me up pretty good. Every time.

And every time I watch this movie, I need a 1 day recovery period. From the horror.

BTW, the Redux version sux, big time. :) [except for the added Brando footage, maybe].

The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance...the scene where Lee Marvin Trips up Jimmy Stewart...only thing is, he was carrying John Wayne's steak and now it is all over the floor...
The ensuing scene is a great tense standoff between Marvin and Wayne and it is done so simply and totally devoid of any music or mood to enhance it...unlike every movie today (even mine)...

I don't know if it's my favorite, but it sticks in my mind...also the father son scene in Guess who's Coming TYo Dinner with Poitier in the den and every scene in It's a Wonderful Life...I'll quit now...they're all coming back to me...

Cheers,
Stan The Man

Micheal Keton and Michelle Pfeiffer dancing under the misletoe in Batman Returns. Music, mood... the whole scene made the movie for me.

Bruce Wayne
A kiss under the mistletoe. Did
you know mistletoe is poisonous,
if you eat it?
Selina Kyle
But a kiss is deadlier, if you
mean it...Does this mean we have to start fighting?

Or something like that
