best scene ever

Braveheart, when Mel Gibson screams and lifts his sword after the battle. Also, when he is betrayed after a battle by Robert the Bruce.
That movie has plenty of great scenes.

When they kill his wife, When he's riding on the horse to get his revenge, The final scene with the sword in the ground, the scene he yells freedom, and a bunch of others. A great movie.

The opening scene in The Player, which doesn't cut for something like six minutes is pure genius from a camerawork standpoint, in my opinion. If you haven't seen this you almost don't notice there are no cuts, it's done so well.

Children of Men - the final steadi-cam sequence. Fantastic. Also, the part where he steal the car is also great.

This is a great one from Harold and Maude, one of my favorite movies ever.

Harold's Personality Interview

Another is in The Matrix, when Neo gets shot in the hallway by Agent Smith, then gets up, coming into his power, stops the bullets, tilts his head and obliterates Smith.

The opening/title sequence for Casino.

The scene in Ladri Di Biciclette where a desperate Antonio tries to steal a bike and gets caught...what follows is pure cinematic gold and tugs at your heart from five different directions.

The scene in Umberto D. where he tries to get rid of the dog, the only real friend he has...

The scene at the opera house in Johnny Stecchino where he is confronted by the town folk over what he thinks is a misunderstanding over a stolen banana...and when he tells off the old guy who calls him "Assassino!"

Diana Christensen and Max Schumacher in his office. The scene that ends with:

MAX: Do you have any favorite restaurant?
DIANA: I eat anything.
MAX: Son of a *****, I get the feeling I'm being made.
DIANA: You sure are.
MAX: I better warn you I don't do anything on the first date.
DIANA: We'll see.

I think the scene plays mostly in one shot.

1. The cowardly fight scene in Rashamon.
2. The first meeting on the train in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
3. The Hallway fight scene in Oldboy
4. "The Greatest Love of All" scene in Coming to America

The scene in Stay when Ewan McGregor comes back to the apartment after being in the hospital for the dog bite. The way the scene repeats over and over is great. I really need to buy that movie and watch it again. By far one of the better movies I've seen in the recent years.

That and the freeway chase in the second Matrix movie. Great stuff.

The car chase scene in CHILDREN OF MEN

Final space battle in STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE

Hedge maze chase in THE SHINING

Opening chase in CASINO ROYALE

The basketball scene in 3 Ninjas. It always adds credibility to a movie when a 10 year old dunks from the free throw line--and when it says "Jon Turteltaub" under the title.

But seriously, the closing scene in The Wicker Man. That's pretty messed up. It always stuck with me.

Also, the end of Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels when everything starts coming together and none of the characters know what's happening. (that may be more of a sequence than a scene)

The 1st chase and time travel in Back to the Future.
Ending of Seven.
Ending of Vertigo.
Every scene in Holy Grail.
Toy Story 2 Opening sequence.

"You the one who killed our friend ?'
"That's right, and I enjoyed it too."

Nice choice. Pretty much any scene in Raising Arizona is perfect.

"What, are you kidding, we got us a family here!"
