Best Resolutiob from DVX to Vegas to DVD?

i make short films usually about 5 to 7minutes and i was just wondering what would be the best steps to take so i can have my videos on the maximum quality. I Use Sony Vegas to edit and Nero to burn DVDs. any advice would be cool. Thanks

use chroma blur if you've resized letterboxed footage for a widescreen dvd. this will get rid of the high-frequency edges of the resized chroma, produce a nicer looking image, and encode with fewer bits.
