Was curious what was the proper or best "Rendering" settings to use with my captured 24p footage ?

Guessing that its "NTSC DV", but I notice that there are alot of other settings with pulldown etc that I could chose as well...

Re: Best Rendering Solution for 24p

How you render out is entirely dependent on what you plan to do with the footage. Do you plan to make DVDs? Go out to film? Go to the web? Print to tape? Send to someone else for editing?

Hehehe
Not gonna make it easy on me are ya ? ;D
I doubt any of my shots are worthy of Film Transfer, however, I wouldnt mind knowing the BEST format to use for exporting to DVD and or the Web.

Best for DVD is the MPEG-2 template for DVD Architect.

For the Web, I'd suggest Windows Media 9. By far the best quality-to-filesize ratio.

Would that second setting work well with Sorenson or one of the other Compression utilites ? Or is there a "Best" setting for that as well?

Re: Best Rendering Solution for 24p

It doesn't use Sorensen. But there are numerous templates and you can can also customize just about every little thing.

Re: Best Rendering Solution for 24p

I thought that Vegas did editing well, but to Compress, I should be using another program. (such as sorenson squeeze)

Do I not need that second program to compress my video enough for the web ?

Re: Best Rendering Solution for 24p

No. Vegas's rendering is quite good.

Besides, to get your footage into any other program, you have to render it.
