Best Render setting for AVCHD to DVD?

I have a little problem with Sony Vegas Pro 9. I for some reason when I render my original AVCHD footage to .m2ts file my footage is lagging to where the music that I "lined up" with my footage is delayed. I am syncing the music and footage to the "beat" and its just not happening. Is there a better render that I can use so later I can put it on DVD? I have been at this for 8 hours and can't figure this out. The footage is on a "B" drive with the music as well. Thanks

if you're going for DVD, then output for architect (video: render as mpeg2 with the DVD architect template without audio, and render audio separately .ac3) that way you dont need to rerender/transcode in architect or nero or whatever you're using. Hope this helps!

P.S. for best quality, modify the video architect template: put video quality to 31 (high), minimum bps at around 4,500,000, average at about 6,000,000 and max out at 9,500,000
