Best QT export for Windows Users - FCP DVCproHD

I'm trying to deliver an MOV from FCP to a Windows user so he can bring it into his system (AE) and key it. I shot on HVX (dvcproHD 720pn).

When I have done this in the past, I was keying in FCP, then exporting from the timeline as a QT movie using the "animation" setting with millions+ for colors. This was to preserve my alpha channel. However, in this case, the client is doing the key, so I just need to deliver a good quality clip in a QT that his windows machine will open (client doesn't have Raylight/etc)

This method has always worked for me, but the client is having problems importing into his system.

Is there another method someone can enlighten me with?

Thanks

You could try using the MJPEG-A codec. I use that at work to hand off stuff for use on PCs all the time.

Sheer is a good codec, Used it before. Also has a trial. Although AE CS3 can now use the MXF files that come out of the camera. They should hav the same timecode, so really give him the in and out points in the QT files and a relink should work.

Also go and have a look at this nice little tool for AE

This takes a FCP xml file and creates an AE timeline. Very nice peice of scripting.

Guys- Thanks for the replies. Chocblu - the AE scripting tool looks great - I'm going to dive into that.

I may try and deliver as MJPEG first - to see if that's a quick solution for them...

Thanks for the info.
