I bought Vegas 6 and DVDA from VideoGuys...at the time the best deal around. They will often throw in free training DVDs as well.

checking...yep, $475 with VAAST training and they're throwing in sound forge as well. Plus mother's day special takes $20 off the order as well.

You get VEGAS 7 + DVD 4 (the latest production suite version) And you get it cheaper on another site. Approx 350$ and a copy of sound forge 8 comes free with the package. Google up. You should easily find it. I think its cwol.com.

what about Lynda.com?...don't they still give student and educator discounts also?

$249 for Vegas 7+DVD

$249 for Vegas 7+DVD

From the B&H website: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart_accessories&A=details&Q=&sku=462195&is=REG

This is for Vegas 6 + an upgrade disc to Vegas 7. Any disadvantage to this?

[plainman007]

No disadvantage per say except that you wont be able to upgrade to 8 as you would if you were to get the ver 7 directly. But it all boils down to the same arithmetic. Your basically buying the older version at a cheaper price cause you get to upgrade only to the current version and not the super new version which is soon going to be out. So later if you decide you want ver 8. Then your gonna have to get that as a fresh purchase.

Thanks. When is Vegas 8 expected to come out?

[JRAnderson]

It's supposed to be out by the end of the year. I'm skipping the upgrade to 7 and jumping from 6 to 8 once it's released.
