I am gonna go with a 302. Where is the best place to get it. What are the best bag, and acessories for it. :dankk2:

You can safely go with Trew, Coffey, Location, Gotham or any of the other dedicated sound vendors. You won't find much of a discount on any of the Sound Devices products unless you're buying other stuff. I use the Petrol Eargonizer 2 and it works great (room for 302, recorder, wireless and other stuff.)

Thanks a lot guys. It feels so great to talk to the legendary Oleg and other sound experts. Should I go with the SD breakaway cable, carbineri carriers, basically the b&h kit but with out the sd bag.
you an find the brake away on ebay from guy in boston , probably will be cheaper
you can pick up littium ion external battery for dvds for 60 bucks incl charger ,you will need make 4 pin hirosa connector on that .
look for thenew petrol harness for light rigs -till 6kg - about 50-60 bucks , italready here , dont know if it already in usa

Forgive me for being new to sound But, so I get it right--
1) 302
2) Eargonizer bag 2 (ptalsky what recorder you got in there, Tascam?)
3) The new Ptrol Harness (Oleg do you know model number of that new one for light rigs)
4) Find a snake on ebay
5) Pick up a Hirose connector from anywhere to attach to snake.
6) Portable DVD player rechargable batteries
7) Buy 302 and bag and Harness at Gotham, Cofey, or Trew.

When I finally become more comfortable with sound and am ready to upgrade to a good shotgun for exteriors, I might just take Oleg's advice to get away from the proximity effect and go Cs3e. Thanks for the 302 accesory info. It really helps. :beer:
