Best Place To Get Sandbags?

[CameronMcC]

Looking to buy some various sandbags. Looking for saddle style with straps. Would love to buy local (Nashville). Or someplace that sales empties online.

Thinking filling with shot might be more weight per volume.

I buy some sand bags from Steve Kaeser's ebay store. I like them fine. I use sand its cheap and with both sides of the bag 2/3s full there very heavy.

You gotta be careful with weight bags. If you get the "wrong" ones, they break open or the handle tears off and they become useless. I got some Advantage Gripware shot bags that are holding up very nicely, but here are what they offer in sand bags:

Try calling Norms or Modern Studio in Hollywood. They offer a 25% discount if you pay when you order. Freight is also not as costly as you might think. My entire order's shipping (stands, doorway dolly, skater wheels, 400lbs+ sand bags) was $250 via freight. If you order from Advantage, they are just down in AL, so it should be pretty cheap. See if they will match the discount from the other companies.
