Best paper for DVD inserts.

I have recently wanted to try my hand at printing my own dvd inserts. I know I won't get as good of quality as a huge studio but I just want a good quality cover that looks nice when I only need a few copies. My question is does anyone here have any suggestions for a great brand of paper for printing dvd inserts on. Also, what is the process, using a full sheet then cutting to the right size? I am basically a newcomer to this type of thing so any info would help.

Thanks,
J

Check the size that your printer can print!

My Epson R300 can only print up to 10.25", and the DVD insert is 7.25 x 10.75". So, what I do is buy 17x11 Photo paper (like $30 for 30 sheets), cut them down to legal size, then print, then trim to the actual size again. Kind of a pain, but I have interns.

Love to hear how others do it? Perhaps there is a printer that does a larger print area?

I use 8.5x11 glossy photo paper. I use powerpoint formatted landscape to the size of the dvd case (there are two thicknesses, the standard and the thin), and do all my art in PPT. I have a table top paper cutter with the cut marks drawn on for trimming to size, so I can trim pretty fast once you get the hang of it. I use a Epson R200 printer.
