Best On-Camera Mic for an ENG rig?

Hey folks,

I'm most likely buying an HPX-500, and rather than buy the standard crappy sony ECM on cam mic. I figured I'd get something else in the sub 300 dollar range.

So far, my sales guy suggests the AT8035.

any thoughts?

Second the AT 875R. Very nice.
Been using on the XH-A1, but works well on a off-camera too, very small.

indeed the AT875R has been giving people some very good results. The Rode NTG2 is also a great mic for the money.

The Sanken CS-1 and the Audio-Technica AT875r were both conceived as on-camera mics, both are excellent.
