Oh crap. I forgot Spider-Man 2. Make that #6 on my list. (Huge Spidey fan as well.)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Carrey shuts the critics up who say he should stick to comedy) [/quote]

No ****. Just seen it a couple days ago. If he wasn't so good at the wacky stuff this dude would be getting nominated for serious awards. Time will come. It did for Murray and Williams. 8)

I agree. "Hero" had excellent Cinematography. But it is actually a film from 2003. Atleast in its original country. You could buy the DVD if ya have an all region dvd player, before the movie came out in America.

Re: Best of 2004

What surprises me is the number of comedies that I enjoyed this year. Usually "comedies" are not movies that end up in my best of lists.

But I really enjoyed... (in no particular order)

1 Napolean Dynamite
2 Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle
3 Eternal Sunshine On The Spotless Mind
4 Shawn Of The Dead
5 The Incredibles
6 Team America

(outta those six I probably enjoyed "ESOTSM" the most.)

then on the darker side

7 The Village
8 Man On Fire
9 The Machinist

(and outta those three, The Machinist totally blew me away, but I'm a sucker for those type of films).

My list so far...

Re: Best of 2004

Incredibles is defenitly the best thing i've seen this year, followed closely by,

Eternal Sunshine and,

Napoleon Dynamite. other than that I'll have to give,

Spider-man 2 an honorable mention, but nothing more.

I can't think of anything else I've seen this year that stands out.

Re: Best of 2004

A month to go.

I'm looking forward to The Assassination of Richard Nixon, any of you heard of it. Based on real life events, Assassination is set in 1974 and centers on a businessman (Sean Penn) who decides to take extreme measures to achieve his American dream.
