Best MPEG4 setting from FCP

Hi all,

I have a client who wants in addition to QT file (best quality) MPEG4 file, as a back up. As he travel after tomorrow and would like to present it... so in case the QT does not work.

And I break my head for the best setting for MPEG4.
The thing is that my Compressor crushed and by tomorrow won't be fixed...So I need to use my FCP6 possibilities, but so far, far from satisfactory.

I choose File-Export-Using QT Conversion-MPEG4, then MPEG4, H264, Image Size= Current, Frame Rate=Current,
But the rest ex. Data Rate, I don't know...

I filmed with EX1, sequence is set to HDTV1080i50

Would highly appreciate your help !

MP4 is pretty vague- ask them what specifically they need- resolution, frame rate, bitrate, etc.

without knowing any details of what your client needs i would use the "Quicktime H.264" preset in compressor. use frame controls to experiment with quality.
