Best mic under 2K for HVX?

Newbie here so please excuse my ignorance. I'm planning on shooting a microbudget feature with an HVX and I am bit naive when it comes to sound equipment. I'd like to spend no more than 1k - 2k on audio equipment. Any recommendations on mic's around that range? Thanks a bunch.

I suggest you take the time to do a few searches for your question and also read around the forum.
It will help you on your way, and it has been discussed many many times so all the info is out there just waiting for the picking.

For what it's worth, I use the akg ck93 & se300b combo and I love it. best sound I've ever recorded.

For a couple grand you could get a couple of basic mics, basic mixer, and a some accessories. This would probably be better than one high end mic naked unless you needed a single purpose setup. Don't forget the skill factor, it is priceless. There are lots of threads about the basic kit question, search is your friend. Do some research and ask specific questions, you'll get better responses.

yes , i would like these films with 1 character in the frame, with 50 and 85 mm all day and 1 feet over head , get real , 2k is what i have in cables on a bad day
