Best Lowest Budget movie you've seen

Re: Best Lowest Budget movie you've seen

Pitch Black (staring Vin Diesel)

I thought it was really good and a success for it's budget

Unlike its big budget sequel The Chronicles of Riddick

I did still enjoy it visually but it was seriously lacking in the storyline department

Unfortunatley it's usually the case when a movie relies on big budget special effects instead of plot, characters etc

That's my two cents

I loved Christopher Nolan's "The Following". Not sure the budget but it's quite low I think.

Daran Aronofsky's Pi also.

Eraserhead?

Blair Witch made 240M worldwide. 141m us....i scrubed through the imdbpro database and it looks like BW is the highest grossing film, with a "K" after its budget....amazing.

too bad the director/producer only got 1 mil from it. That's pretty good considering it only cost them 4thou.
I had an opportunity to meet the DP of BW, he was a cool guy.

As for low-budget definitions, anything 'under 1 million' in Hollywood meets that criteria.

How about 'Toxic Avenger'?
