After reading through all the threads I could find on the subject I still can't decide which LCD monitor to invest in. I just ordered the latest Apple PowerMac G5 dual 2.0 w/only the standard memory (512 -- I know I have to upgrade it to 1G min.) & graphics card (ATI Radeon 9600, won't be upgrading); BTW I got the Mac through Amazon for $1,800 (incl. shipping) bec. they had a $200 rebate offer. I will be running Final Cut Studio to start editing my documentary (which I'm shooting in 24pa). I am deciding between these monitors:
1) Apple 23" Cinema HD - but an ouchie at $1,300, and I want to know if Apple has fixed the "pink" problem yet?
2) Apple 20" Cinema - at least more affordable, at $750
3) Dell 24" Ultrasharp 2405FPW - I know many of you own it & like it, but it's around a $1,000.00 so it's not that much cheaper than the Apple 23"
4) HP f2105 21" - this is on sale at Costco for $699, resolution's the same as the Apple 20" & screen's a little bigger than the Apple -- has anyone tried this monitor?
