Best Lavalier to use for better quality

I am just using a shotgun microphone for my productions. Which is the best lavalier microphone to use when you want to get the best sound quality for any production.

Thanks

1) What "shotgun microphone"?
2) What "productions"?
3) What don't you like about the sound you are recording now?
4) Why do you think a lav will sound better than your shotgun?
5)Do you really believe that there is a "best" of any particular thing?
6) Especially when you are talking about something like production with a thousand variations.
7) Do you really think that even if there was a "best lav mic" it would be "best" for "any production"?

1- What type of work do you plan to shoot?

2- Are you happy with the sound quality of your shotgun microphone? ( it would be useful to know which mic you are using )

3- Why do you want to use a lav mic?

4- Are you limited to a budget? ( most of us are )

Analogy:
I am just using a sedan for transportation. Which is the best automobile to use.

What's a "sedan"?

I'm sure you are not using one of these:-

I use an SUV to cart my stuff around - an estate car is also a good idea. A hatchback is OK if the stuff is not too large, but a saloon car is really restricted by the size of the boot (though it does have the advantage that everything is hidden).
