Best Laser Tape Measure?

I have heard people complain that the Stanley FatMax laser can not be seen outdoors in bright daylight.

Also the FatMax is a class III laser and class II is recommended for being less of a hazard to damaging eyes if accidentally pointed at someone's eyes.

I figured on looking to see what golfers typically use outdoors but I have not taken the time to research it yet.

I own a Bosch PLR 30 Digital Laser Rangefinder. Measuring accuracy: +/- 2.0 mm (better than the FatMax). Measuring range: 0.2...30m. Measuring duration: <0.5s. Price less than $140 protective case included.

My wife and I were attending a wedding last summer. One of the hired photographers had some sort of auto metering /focus assisting device right on his camera. You could actually see 3 red dots on the person's face just before he would set off the flash and take a picture. Anyone know what he would have been using and whether it would work for us?

I went with Leica A3 as it has over my required 75 feet accuracy, has lighted display for the night / bar shoots and is durable so will travel well. About $270 shipped is steep but resale valu should be there, if it doesnt work out.

We will have two stationary cameras in our multi cam HD shoots so this well help significantly minimizing focus issues.
