Maybe that tin can sound with lots of VHF shash is the new audio style to match the searching for focus and wobbly cam de-saturated looks like 8mm style so sought after in the indie sector these days.

Anyway a solution has been found so it's time to move on to how to get the results sounding like a hollywood feature! ;0)

I heard the Scarlet comes with a "Hollywood feature sound" module. It costs more than $150 though :-(

Yep i do. If Andrew Kramer said "Dont use lapels" I would say goodbye ill do what i want. Thats film-making, not pulling rank.

Dude, open your eyes. LOOK, I HAVE THE DAMN SOUND FOR THE MAIN BITS ALL GOOD OK. I NEED SHITTY LAPELS TO BLOW UP. is that clear now?

There was someone like this on another board. Asked for help and ignored everything. I bought his movie and it was as expected, total crap. This guy might be funny if he weren't so damn insulting.

Timothy, let me flip this round. If someone came to you and said I'm spending $25,000 on a shoot, what camera can I buy for $150. I mean yeah, you could suggest something (like a potato), but wouldn't you strongly suggest that they reevaluate their production values?

I think the problem is that you'd already put a price on the value of the mic, rather than saying "what's the best mic for such and such scenario. Please bare in mind, this mic might get trashed because..."

Look back at your posts, you didn't mention the explosion till post 3

Yes, but i would go "Mate, you can try this: www.linkhere.com, but i recommend you do this" not "No, try this blahhh etc"
Yes post 3, but it kept going on after that. Anyways why do i have to explain what i need it for if my question was "What can i get for $150?"? not "Hey i have about $150, and am open to ideas and questions about what lighting i use"

Because you sound silly when you say "I've dropped $25,000 on a Scarlet" and "I'm using pro workflow"... And at the same time ask what is the best wireless lapel you can get for $150. We're trying to help you out here. The answer is, nothing for $150 will give you audio that is usable. Going back to one of the first reply, rent something!

Ok sorry maby i should have cleared this up. Im not worried about sound quality. This is not the final release. I dont care if it sounds like the first record player.

Timothy, keep in mind that Zoom H1 recorders have no limiter, so it's very easy to clip your audio if you are not careful about how you set your levels.

Look, sorry guys for all the rage... i have recently lost a job so im a bit edgy. Anyways i apologize and thanks for all your input

I'd also suggest you get a Radioshack stereo to mono 3.5mm adapter plug for about $5. Using this adapter I plugged a $3 laptop mike into a Scarlet for scratch audio. Without the adapter, the Scarlet is expecting a balanced TRS signal and you won't have audio recorded, with the adapter you get usable scratch audio, what you'd expect from a $3 laptop mike.

If you're recording an explosion, why use a wireless lav at all? Lavs are notoriously poor performers when recording high sound pressure levels. You'd be far better served with an omni dynamic mic like the Eletrovoice 635a positioned a reasonable distance from the blast zone and hard-wired to your recorder through a mixer with a good limiter on it. The 635a can be had new for about $120, less if you shop for used, and is as tough as nails.
