Best jib for the job!

Looking at purchasing a new jib to add to the equipment. Now here is what i need? Something that i can fit on my stand on dolly ( mostly the tripod ). I need a stable jib/crane that can come apart to fit into my car for voyages. And because i want to use it on my dolly to come, i need a jib that disassembles in terms of length so i can control the camera while standing on the dolly (i.e. only using one arm extension on the jib so that its maximum height is only 6 feet )

I have to spend around 500 max. Suggestions please.

i recently had a little jib experience on a music video shoot. i tried out a cobra crane 2 which i was told is a "good" $500 jib. i mean, it was ok but not as fluid as i had hoped. the shots were noticably jittery and unusable. i ended up renting a more high end jib for the shoot and i am so glad i did. for $150 i rented a "porta-jib" (http://www.porta-jib.com/). now i am spoiled rotten. this thing was so smooth and effortless to operate. you can seriously swing it around the room with your pinky. the whole thing breaks down and fits neatly into a fairly small road case on wheels. it would fit in the trunk of any car. the guy at the rental shop told me they are around $4000 to purchase. way out of my budget to buy but after using it, i won't even bother buying something cheap. i will just rent the good one when i need it.

i know this doesn't exactly answer your question about which $500 jib to get but i wanted to respond because i was asking the same question a month ago and the conclusion i came to is that there really is no "good" jib for $500.

p.s. if you find something that really kicks ass for that price, clue me in. i'd love to have a jib on hand all the time.
