Best iTunes partner

I've been doing a lot of research trying to figure out who best to go with regarding an audio picture book that I am producing on the side that I'd like to see on iTunes.

It's not a children's book, so it would be closer to Marvel's motion comic stuff than it would be, say, Curious George.

I think it might be possible to actually go through an indie iTunes film distributor (usually you can pay them some upfront fee and then a portion of the proceeds and they'll let you put your stuff through their label), or maybe even a medium-sized comic book provider like Darkhorse, but that seems like it might be overkill.

I'm just a bit lost as to what route is best to take and iTunes isn't very helpful.

There are some children's picture books published on iTunes.

Right now the only distributor that looks promising (but is not actually in the business of doing motion audio books) is http://www.tunecore.com/index/promotion/99

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks,

I know I am missing something here... but... isn't an "audio picture book" kind of an oxymoron?

lol

No, it's an audio book with pictures. What makes a book an audio book is that it has no written words. "Picture" is a kind of qualifier to distinguish it from a traditional audio book.

ahhh... makes sense now, I knew I was missing something lol...

wish I could be more help here but have no experience with itunes per say...
