Best Inexpensive Wireless Follow Focus

What’s the general community think of decent wireless focus units (can be single motor) sub $1000? Interested in the good, bad, and ugly.

Open to used and new markets.

Thanks!

I have the Nucleus Nano. I've used it on a couple jobs and its pretty impressive as long as you don't need anything too fully featured or high torque. The size and price is pretty unbeatable and the range seems to beat any of the wireless video systems I used it with. It's quite quick to calibrate even on lenses with no hard stops once you get used to the procedure. The main con I have is the power connector is not locking, and there is no battery level indicator for the hand unit and when the battery gets low it starts acting weird... So just always keep the extra battery charged and on hand if it does anything unusual.

To add to Noah's comment on the Nucleus Nano, the thing is only $235. With some cabling and mounts maybe $300. It's worth investing in a Nucleus M motor (another $250), which is much beefier than the little Nucleus Nano motor. The M motor will work with the Nano controller and pull heavy lenses just fine. The Nano motor is fine for stills lenses and anything with a lightweight focus mechanism, but if the lens has some resistance it's worth it to get the bigger motor. And always power either motor from 12v power. 5v is too weak to get decent performance.

There have been a few in the for sale section, might be worth a search and see if they are still available.
