Best HD Video Conversion SOftware

I will be quick. I shot my first film less than a month ago and in post editing I noticed I made a huge mistake. Not all my footage is in 1080p content. Some of it was recorded in 720p. Does anyone know a good software I could use to down convert everything to 720p 30fps so I can work with it better. Unfortunately, how it is now, I cannot use all the video files in the same project (After Effects, Lightworks and Premier CS5.5).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

Little late to the game, but...

MPEG Streamclip. Incredibly powerful free video converter.

Also, I would recommend up-resing your 720p footage to 1080p, unless most of your footage is shot in 720p. When/If you master in 1080p, the 720 footage you up-res'd will not be poor quality at all, dependent, of course, on how it was shot.

I'll second this. If you just shot a few clips in 720p but most of your footage is in 1080p then up-rez the 720p clips to 1080p. For paid software try Magic Bullet Instant HD.
