Best format to output from Edius for FCP editor?

I haven't used Macs since early 90s and am new to Edius so sorry for the sophomoric question....

I have recorded about 8 hours of concert footage via DV Rack HD 2 as AVI files. Looks great and audio is perfect, plays flawlessly in Edius.

My editors can not import these files in Final Cut Pro, even if we have converted them to QuickTime. When we use the Serious Magic converter (DVCPro HD Batch Converter), the Apple Quicktime files have no audio when played in either QT Pro or Final Cut Pro.

Using Edius, what output format would the Edius experts recommend I output the files so that an editor using Final Cut Pro would have files with video and audio?

Do the files that you get out of the Batch Converter have audio in Edius? Edius can open QuickTime files containing DVCProHD (even though Apple's own QuickTime Player can't), so you should be able to verify whether the audio is even there.

If the files you are converting have been recorded in PN format, it is crucial that you drag the XML files and not the MXF files into the Batch Converter, since this is how the Batch Converter will figure out important file properties.

Also, have you installed the DVCProHD Decoder / Batch Converter patch? You can get that here:

Batch Converter update is installed. Recording 1080i, not N so converted correctly. Will check Edius if it can play it but unlikely. Here is the response from Serious Magic / Adobe.

"That's unfortunately a bug in the Batch Converter, and one that will (more unfortunately) not be fixed any time soon as the Batch Converter is on a deep back burner. When we originally cleared the Batch Converter, our schedule was very tight and our focus was on converting from MXF to AVI or MOV, not AVI<-->MOV conversion, so we missed this bug entirely until after release."

Any one have any thoughts I how to record from HVX200 to DV Rack so that Final Cut Pro editors can use the footage?

I have been successful by outputting to QT - Motion JPEG -A codec. That seemed to work fine. I don´t know how much quality i lose, because I didn´t see it on a big screen after, but the guy didn´t complain. So I guess it worked.
It is also the codec when exporting to stock-footage sites, so it can´t be too bad a solution.
