best fluid heads to support up to 14-16 lb?

I'm ready to hear you recommendations of best fluid heads with counterweight that can support up to 14lb.

Remember that the weight rating depends not only on the mass but the size height of the camera

I would look to get a head that is rated for 20lb if your camera is 14lb

You might need to stretch you budget a bit

Your best bet would be a used Vinten 20 head.

I have one and it is the only one that I tried, that was able to even deal with a 30 lbs monster.
Even if you have set the drag to zero, the counter balance is a dream.

I can definitely recommend against the Vinten Vision Blue for a camera in that weight class. I have one and use it with a rig that is about 11 pounds, and it is at the very limit of the counterbalance range with that setup, enough that the tilt angle range is reduced significantly. (Great head though, just not suitable for a heavier camera.) The 3AS I mentioned is the next model up in the line with a little higher capacity, but by the specs even that might be marginal.

Similar reservations about the two Sachtlers you listed, neither of which covers your desired weight range.
