Best fluid-head two-stage tripod?

I was looking at a $1,300 Cartoni Focus from BH Photo, until I realized it was one-stage. I wouldn't like to go much higher than $1,300 for a two-stage fluid head (Seriously guys, does it take that much capital to make a tripod?)

Any suggestions?

You mean a 2 stage set of legs right? Not the head.

If you are looking for a good system and want something that doesn't suck like bogen/manfrotto, try looking towards the miller tripods. Something like this:

It's perfect for a small camera, unless you're going to start loading it up with a bunch of stuff like a 35mm adapter etc.

If you need to hold a bit more weight, you could try the solo 20 system. I know the legs look jacked, but actually they're quite strong and the bonus is they set up quick and you can get down low.

I myself rock a Vinten Vision 5 head with a 3 stage set of legs and a carbon fibre mid spreader. The head is super smooth but honestly, I'd love to get a set of those legs for fast set up and portability.

That second item looks really bare, but you're saying it's actually better because I can get lower angles?

Here is a review of the solo legs. It'll explain it pretty good for you.

Thanks Angrius, you've been a great help. Dang, I really like that Arrow Fluid Head model, but it's two and a half times the cost of the DS-20 Fluid Head Model. Maybe I can afford the large price tag when I'm directing Vincent Chase in Aquaman.

I think I'm gonna go for the DS-20 for now.
