Best FCP version?

Hello All, I am about to jump into learning and editing w/FCP
which is the best version? I have FCP 4 (for dummies) on my shelf.
Is FCP 4 what I should go for?
and where to buy - e-bay? craigs list? B&H

if you have enough budget for a used fcs2, it should not be expensive now.

make sure it's a copy you can upgrade when fcs3 comes.
 
Honestly, if you're serious about doing this stuff, I always say you're better off sucking it up and buying the full version of the software. No problems with upgrades, full support and all that good stuff. It's expensive, but it only hurts once. Well, it hurts again when you have to upgrade, but that's the price you pay.
