Best FCP for MacBook Pro?

Would like FCP for my older 2.4Ghz Intel Duo Core 2, 4gb 1067 MHZ DDR3, MacOSX 10.7.4, Nvidia GeForce 320M 256 MB

Do I have a choice or is this thing just too old ? Thanks in advance.....

there is only one FCP left and that´s FCPX (FPC7 is discontinued), which I would´t recommend under 8GB RAM. I used a 2008-MBP with 4GB and it worked fine to about 1500 clips in one event. Then it hit the RAM - limit.
If you are able to find an old FCP (6 or 7) then this machine will work fine, because the old FCP is 32-bit and won´t use more Ram anyway.

I'm sure you can find a used copy of Final Cut Pro Studio 7 somewhere. Will still do everything you could want to do in an NLE.

Yes, I USED to edit with Premiere all the time, havent in a long time.... I might check it out.... Is it basically the same as CS5 ?

If you have a habit to edit in FCP, in Premiere you can choose to use the same shortcut keys of FCP =P
