Best/Favorite Articles, Filmmaking posts, threads, product reviews, etc?

Perhaps a bit of a shot in the dark...

But, am trying to finally get on to finishing filling out the CMS content to bring that live for everyone (The "News", "Articles", "Film School" tabs at the top of 'user).

Have some stuff in there and was planning on the next couple of weeks filling it out a bit more and thought I'd enlist any suggestions you might have for stuff that has been posted on dvxuser over the years that you might like to see emphasized as information based content, rather than buried within 2 million something other posts.

So, anyone who doesn't mind or has some suggestions for stuff you'd like to see featured in those tabs, please feel free to help me out by providing some links. I'd appreciate it a lot :)

Specifically:
In the gear world, things like product reviews (good ones), and technical papers (i.e. scene file compilations, differences between various canon dslr models, etc)
In the filmmaking world... the usual... art direction/production design, cinematography, directing/acting, Editing, Location Sound, etc, etc, etc...

So, articles we have in the old articles section will make it over there. I've got some stuff from forum posts in there as well... And, I'd be looking for any other threads or posts that fit the bill that you guys really like/have found useful, or whatever...

Also... if you would like to contribute original content to the CMS section in the future (write articles and stuff), please feel free to shoot me an email at jason at landmine dot tv.

This may be off topic, but I'd like to see a feature that would allow for feedback of transactions made in the Marketplace.

Currently, when an item is sold, the thread becomes locked. Days later, when the item arrives in advertised condition (or not), there is no place to post feedback on the transaction as the original thread is locked and quickly disappearing from view.

It is off-topic, but yeah... I agree, and actually just opened up a discussion with David S. about making some changes to the marketplace... That is one of the things I would like to see... a system, or a place for leaving buyer/seller feedback... While we don't want it to turn into a bitchfest or people prematurely leaving bad feedback and things like that... I do find it useful for known scammers to have info posted about them for those who do actually search... and, for folks to have a little extra peace of mind in their transactions knowing member joeblow has made 10 previous successful transactions on dvxuser...

Thanks, Jason!

The reason it occurred to me was that I recently purchased an HPX170 there. The person who sold it stated he had bought/sold in the Marketplace before. There was no way for me to check that. Anyhow, the seller was great to work with and really went over and above what I would have expected. I want to give the seller positive feedback for their effort and communication but, alas, the thread is now locked.

Me, I love tutorials. Can't seem to get enough of them and I would love to see more of them in the articles section. It seems most of what is there is product reviews, which is good, but that section can be more than another "Consumer Report" magazine for camera gear, IMO.

I wrote one a while back in the SFX section. Been thinking of writing a few more.

I know it is extra work, but for now, you can send a PM to David S. and ask if you can leave a positive feedback in the thread for the seller.

articles sub-forum is defunct. That stuff will all be copied over to the CMS articles section. Tutorials are good. Send me some links :)
