Best DVD Burner to install in G4 867MHz dual processor

I have a Mac G4, 867MHz dual processor, FCP 3 and want to start recording onto DVD without losing any quality from my master DVCAM tape. What's the best aftermarket DVD burner/recorder that can be installed inside the computer?

I'm using OS 10.2.5. Do I need any extra software and firmware?

You probably don't have DVD Studio Pro with that set up. Wow, that's an old machine. Anyway, you should have iDVD on that. Do you?

As for burning software, on a budget Dragon Burn is great. If you have the money, Toast Titanium is cool, but doesn't offer anything of use that Dragon Burn doesn't have.

As for hardware, well, any Mac compatable DVD burner. Back then Apple used Panasonic A0x burners. They were pretty reliable and very nice. Not like the second rate models they use now.

Do your homework! Don't buy stuff unless you have documented it will be compatible with your set up.

I'm going to get a internal Lacie DVD burner. It works with Mac and I downloaded the Patchburn program to get it to work with FCP3. I don't know if I still need to use iDVD.
All I want to do is transfer a dvcam tape to DVD for a screener. Any suggestions?
