I used to own a 1999 Corolla (1.6l, auto, white). Same engine as in current Corollas. Faster off the mark than a Golf GTi. Bought it when it had 100,000 km. Had 400,000km on it when I passed it on to my daughter, who's since sold it. Never had it professionally serviced. I think somewhere along the line I had to replace the brake pads, battery, tires and wiper blades, otherwise never needed a repair . This isn't a funny or clever ad, it's merely objective.
