Best Concert

Elvis Costello checked out my girlfriend and then smirked at me. (You know the Elvis smirk.) I consider it my proudest achievement to date.

Yeah I got the same thing from Gene Simmons, checking out my gf that is. I felt gross.

Bowie is on my list to see in this lifetime as well.

Oops. Forgot all about Bowie. And Eurythmics. And Genesis. All playing in Berlin in front of the Reichstag.

That was fun...but SO many people. :)

Anyone else get a little wierded out when Sofia Coppola and Andy Garcia went at it in GIII? Michael Corleone didn't seem all that bothered by it. Eeeeew.

There were soooo many other things bothering me with the movie I think that one slipped on by...

Sigur Ros, Madison, WI...Orpheum Theatre....September this year....if people are still talking about the best concert. But I need to see U2 someday.

Tom Waits in TO was super sweet!
I have seen Ben Harper four times. From a small club, to Soldier Field. The man can play.

Despite the whacked out chick I had for company that eve, my favorite show was The Black Crowes High As The Moon Tour at the Fox in Atlanta. I've seen em about 5 times and that one show stood out big time. Their overall vibe was just right for my tastes at that time, musically, visually and philosophically....(like Hudson, I am NOW clean as a whistle......).

I too had a wonderful Blues Traveler show experience.

Phish had about the most purely musically awesome show I've seen.

I enjoyed Cracker and The Spin Doctors one night with backstage passes (yeah yeah...but I'm not going to edit it.....go ahead and gay away)

This last Dave Mathews Band show was pretty amazing, with Phish's Trey Anastasio (who I believe to be one of the most inventive guitar players ever) coming out and guesting for the last 1/4 of the show.

The Grateful Dead in spring of 92 was one super fine complete package (in that it wasnt the show in and of itself that constituted the experience....the all day parking lot trip was where it was really at).

Ray Stephens was a serious hoot.

LOVED Hank Williams Jr. ......saw him 3 times back when he still had it. The best of the 3 was Hank and The Kentucky Headhunters....saw them at the Omni Arena in ATL, then two years later saw the Headhunters in an actual barn out in the country here in my little bitty rural GA town....it was called the Electric Barnyard Tour.....awesome. The only stage dressing was little neon tube lights in the shape of farm animals. We all sat on fold up chairs in the hay.
