Best Compressor for web...

I have Premiere Pro 2.0.

I usually do all my compression with the Quicktime h.264 compressor, but I think youtube is having problems with it because every video I upload now just plays back still frames every second or two.

Anyhow, I want to try an AVI compressor. I used a Divx compressor, and the microsoft Mpeg 4 vki codec V3, but they didn't work very well (pixels seemed to get stuck as if it were a scratched dvd) - so which .avi option is best?

edited: I can't seem to find a decent codec whatsoever for AVI, it's wierd...

Thanks guys.
