Best collapsible C-Stand?

I'm in need of a C-Stand, but I need something that will fit into limited space. Does any product come to mind for anyone that needs to be robust enough for general C-Stand use (lights, shotgun mic with pole, ect.) that can collapse down significantly?

+1 on the Avenger C-stands in black ( black finish is quite durable compared to other brands )

As an alternative to a C-Stand, the Lowell Uni Sr stand is light, yet very sturdy and collapses down to a small size.

I have experience with that one, you're right that it collapses down nicely, but it is in no way solid enough for what I need.

It feels heavy duty and collapses smaller than a c-stand. According to the website it is rated to hold 3 more pounds than the cheapest Matthews C-stand. You would still need and an arm and a head but it is more compact than a C-Stand.

From memory the Matthews C-Stands are a little lighter than the Avenger C-Stands if weight is an issue.

these are great, I have about 6 of these and they do not topple as easily as a c-stands but they have a totally different use – for example you cant place two of these 6 inches apart like you can with C-stands.
