Best Codec?

Hi, i just shot my first short film on a HVX200. I've converted all my MXF clips into animation (lossless) quicktimes. Then im running them through after effects again for some third party plugins to reduce noise, I'm wondering what the best codec to get a generally lossless clip, that will playback realtime for FCP (v. 6.0.3) editing. I've looked at Apple ProRes 422, blackmagic 8 bit, blackmagic 10 bit and so on. I am running a intel 2.28 GHz quad core MAc with 8 GB of Ram, a terabyte raid array stripped for speed, and i can't find a decent codec that will play back real time 1920x1080 24p footage.

HELP!

Why not just keep everything in DVCPro HD, lock the edit, then run only the necessary footage thru any post processing you think is necessary? Going from DVCPro HD to Animation to ProRes or Uncompressed before you even start editing doesn't gain you anything. Also, specifically what are you using for storage?
