i bought a matteblox from cinetactics.com for about 250 usf recently. check it out on their website. they respond quickly to questions. has flag and french flag and filter holders. i recommend using a filter to help keep the matteblox stable (it can bend without the filter inserted).
the other lower priced matte box discussed here is the formatt - i think evs carries them, bhphoto has them for sure.

i have had both the cinetactics and the formatt...
the cinetactics is a bit of a toy, it always moved around and it was usually just enough that you didn't notice it until you sat down to look at the footage and you could see the damn fabric matteblok in the corners!
the formatt was super for the price. very well made, a little on the heavy side.
the chrosziel's are what i have now.
411-53pk is a fortune but you don't need it unless your going to go down the anamorphic lens road...
the 440-01 is great. i just got mine less than a week ago and it fits right on the lens, no light weight mountain rails and it is a good bit smaller than the 411-53pk and weighs less.
the french flag on both the formatt and the 411-53pk is pretty big. the flag on the 440-01 is happily just the right side.
