Best capture set up to work with 24p and 30p

I been trying to find out the best set up to capture from my dvx100 the footage i have film in 24p, but i am still no happy enough with the resoult of final cut pro 5, i am usinge 29,9 time line set up an a interlace scan mode in capture and secuence line,

Hope some one give some tips to get the footage clear and fluid, my final proyect is to get a high quality dvd movie (mainly ntsc world)
