best camera for studio products / help me spend my money

Hey all,

I need good HD camera for studio product work. For reference think of a tea pot on a turntable along with a jib and motor pan/tilt head.

I'm going to need a good auto focus lens that will get close to macro. It would also be great to somehow work the zoom remotely. 422 color space, 1080 at 60/30p, as many Mbps as possible. I plan on running an "Intensity Pro" card in the computer so I can record directly to the computer, so the camera needs all the appropriate connections. Audio isn't huge but I would image at some point I'll need some. Maximum or deep depth of field is also important.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but all the new full 35 censors that are coming out are because most people are looking for shallow D of F and it is easier to achieve that effect with those larger sensors. My thought was that since I'm looking for more depth of field I'd need to look at something with the 1/3" sensor. I was looking at the Canon XF300 because of the 3 - 1/3" that should give me better color than a system with only 1. Am I going to compromise sharpness by going with a smaller sensor?

I'm of course price sensitive but I don't want to go cheap and find out that it's not going to give me the sharpness or color or D of F that is required.

Thanks for your help

Yes but you can always step the aperture down if you want a deep depth of field.

Yes, of course. But I don't have that much light. I'm usually working with 500 and 1000k tungsten through diffusers, boxes, and bouncing. When I shoot with the 7D at an iso of 640 I might get 5.6 at 1/60 on a small set.
