Best Call for 7D Slider/Dolly?

Hey all,

I want to hear some opinions on the best DIY dolly or slider (inexpensive, below $300) too. I want the most flexibility for different shots as possible. I have a Manfrotto 190CX3 tripod with a 501HDV head. I've heard good things about the cheaper Igus and Optekas, but also the Varavon and Konovas... I'm open to relatively simple DIY dolly/slider options too. Please be as detailed as possible.

Any grip equipment has to carry the camera that is on it

Now you may want to carry a 7d, or maybe you want to carry 7d+monitor, battery, sound recorder, matte box, larger lens

Personally I think a slider will work for a 7d, but for a full rig you should consider some rails on the floor and a dolly that you can put your tripod on
