Best Batman Film?

my friend and i are getting into an arguement as we speak about which Batman movie is better. The original or Batman Begins. I think the original is the best of ALL the films. The cinematography was dead on Keaton was a great Batman. It had a great story. Burton did an excellent job with the movie even though he never read the comics. What does everyone else think? The original or Batman Begins?

As a film on it's own - Batman Begins

As a comic book adaptation - Batman Begins

As a... oh, wait, that's it. Don't get me wrong, I do like both Burton's movies, but Nolan's baby is sooo much more... mature? on all levels.

mature, we are talking comic books here! Begins sucked big time,

"less artsy more fartsy!" - H Simposn

worse than the one with Arnold in it. Burtons Batman, the one and only. :)

Batman begins blows away all the other batman movies. I'd say it's one of the best comic adaptations.

ghost world was decent also.

Without a doubt the best ever....

Seriously, I think the latest was the best by far - Batman Begins

i think the clooney/keaton/kilmer batmans looked more like kid movies, but batman begins seems more, "grown up," so it has my vote.

I like Batman Begins don't get me wrong. It was a good movie but to me the Burton version was dead on with cinematography. It was truly dark. I respect everyones opinions but to me the Burton version was better.

I wouldn't say either is better because they both tell a different story. In batman begins it goes into his background and what causes him to become batman. I loved the fact in batman begins batman actually had bruises from fighting because that's what happens in the comic and cartoon. The main difference that I can see in Batman begins and Burton's version is Batman begins goes into who is the Bruce wayne and the others go into who is Batman

Batman Begins. All the way. Best story. Best look. Couldn't stand the "turn off all the lights and paint everything black" look of the Burton films. And the Schumacher ones were just too damn cheesy.

I loved Batman Begins, especially after seeing the last two. Arnold as Mr. Freeze. CRAP!!!

but, I'm going to have to give it to the original Batman mostly because I think that the villain is half the movie. If you don't have a great villain than you don't have a great comic book movie. I thought the scarecrow was a weak character and so was Ra's Al Ghul. You can't beat Jack Nicholson as the joker. Him and Keaton's chemistry was awesome.

The look didn't bother me (dark black) but when the films became all neon color, that was ridiculous. The look of Batman Begins was the best though.

In order of best Batman I have to go Keaton, Bale, Clooney.........Kilmer (Worst Batman Ever). Bale and Keaton were on par then Clooney wasn't believable, but Kilmer was just depressing.

So to recap. Batman better than Batman Begins...but not by much.

I totally agree in the fact that the joker in the first movie was a far better villian that scarecrow , but the joker in whole is a far better villian that scarecrow.

the joker is a better villian yes. i think cillian murphy did a great job as scarecrow. between this and red eye he is establishing himself as a great actor in my opinion.

batman begins for sure.best comic movie ever imo.

spiderman 2 most dead on for fun and content though.
