Best audio format to use?

should be simple question.. what's the best audio format to use in fcp?

i used an mp3 but when my friend previewed the video on a dvd player, they said they could hear a strange clicking sound throughout the song. they suggest i convert it to a wav file.

should i go wav, aiff aac or what?

If there's a clicking sound, then converting the file probably won't fix it. Try re-recording or getting the sound/music from an alternate source and use AIFF. You could also just load a track into itunes and select the option to convert the song to AIFF.
