Best All Action Film

Tonight a couple of friends and I were discussing what is the best all out action film :kali:

The requirements were as little plot as possible and as much enjoyable action as possible... The best we could come up with was Robocop.

Any other ideas?
 
Starship Troopers - lots of dead bugs!

Armageddon. Starts with city getting ass kicked. Ends with meteor exploding. Very cool.
 
Die Hard has some story and Armeggedon has a lot of story (albeit bad).

I tried to watch Predetor for a few minutes tonight, but that has story too. I just want death, destruction, and ass kicking... is that such a tall order?
 
Predator, Hero, Hero was just amazing in my mind. The scene when the calligraphy school has the rain of arrows coming down on it and the calligraphy teacher tells them to sit still and continue their work and if they survive they will learn the rule and serenity of calligraphy. That scene is so god danm cool!

But Robocop has some story too. Probably just as much as Die Hard.

I'll have to think about a completely brainless action film. I'm sure there's one out there ... and it probably stars Dolph Lundgren. :laugh:
 
When I was in middle school I was quite the fan of the Rambo movies. They were fairly lean on story and certainly had death, destrucion and ass kicking.
 
Any movie with Dolph Lundgren for sure. Acting naah ... story no way ...lots of big friggin guns and bad Russian accents oh yaaaah . Come on with titles like "The Defender , Direct Action, Detention, Agent Red, Univesal Soldier and Punisher " how can you go wrong.
 
uhh, I cannot choose, maybe... The Island.... or if Pearl Harbour was an action film, I would choose that one

But the top of my list right now is
THE LAST BOY SCOUT

some minor mishaps with Damon Wayans -- but that can be expected because he's...Damon Wayans. He's the only thing that dates this movie. Taylor Negron also kind of sucks as a villain. But goddamn if there ain't some perfect lines in this movie...

Everything Shane Black writes is hilarious. And HE is hilarious in Predator.

amazing lines in that movie.
