Best 360 Cameras 2020

I have a client who wants some BTS captured on a 360 cam. I've done this in the past with a GoPro Max, but I'm a little out-of-the-loop with current 360 camera.

What are the best cameras around today?

I don't need anything super-pricey but something easy to set up to shoot and simple to wash through post would be good. Thanks.

Liam, This is one of those where the price points are all over the place and knowing a budget would be useful. I haven't tried doing an analysis on these, but here is roughly what is available on the lower end. Ricoh Theta Z1 seems to be real popular and hard to find, about $1k. A newcomer that seems to be getting good reports is Qoocam 8k (10bit), about $600. Insta360 R 360 edition, about $430. Those were the 2 lens cameras. For lenses > 2 looks like minimum budget of $2k (Obsidian Go), used Insta360 Pro (see used 360 Buy & Sell on FB), and then quickly escalates above $2k. Insta360 Pro 2 may have solved their distance comms problem that you had to work around with a battery powered wireless router with the Pro 1. I don't like the fan noise on the Insta360 Pro, you can only run 15 min. takes before the fan will kick in, don't know if they solved that with the Pro 2.

Thanks, guys. I'm now told I only need stills so fan noise isn't a problem. If it's <$650 I'll buy it. But if it's more I'll look for a rental. Ricoh Theta Z looks good for stills but is just a bit too pricey to buy. We're going to be on an Aircraft Carrier so something good in low light is important as they can be quite dim below decks. Again, Theta Z ticks that box. I wonder if I could get away with a 'Theta V'? Hmm...
