Berhinger BCF2000 and Soundtrack Pro 3 / Final Cut Pro 7

Been trying to figure this out since last Tuesday. I recently got the Berhinger and while the sliders move up and down with the audio in my final cut timeline, they don't seem to do so in my Soundtrack Pro timeline. Also, when I do adjust a level, the slider moves back to the previous position. I've tried updating to the 1.10 firmware but that doesn't work. I set it up correctly in that it's set up on the Mackie control interface in FCP. I'm using it in Logic mode with USB 1 and still nothing.

Please someone help me, the links online don't seem to be intuitive and all I can find on Youtube are people showing off that they own a Behringer. Any help would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

It's been a long time since I did any audio work in FCP, but generally you need to be recording automation to create the volume points (key frames). Moving the faders won't make a permanent change unless it also creates a keyframe.

Also it sounds like you have two different settings. IF you have told FCP that you are using a Mackie interface then I don't understand why you would set the BCF2000 in Logic mode, you should probably have it in Mackie mode.

Hmm, interesting. The reason I selected Logic mode was because a post on couple of posts, Creative Cows specifically said use Logic mode for STP and FCP. I'll give that a try. As for Keyframe, I was under the impression that the BCF works exactly like the slider controls menu in FCP i.e; if I double click on the audio file and then adjust the sliders with the mouse, the volume will go up or down. I'm talking about changes in the entire audio file, more a universal change to the file like the whole volume goes down, not at specific points like 30 seconds in the volume drops/lowers.

Personally I haven't had a lot of success with adjusting clip levels with touch faders but?

What I was trying to say was you should probably be using the same setting on both sides. So if Logic is a controller option in the controller and the software go for it. Controllers send messages in different ways so the HUI code to move a level is not likely to be the same as another controllers code to move the level. So your software should be looking for the same "language" as you controller is sending.

OK so I guess it was the mode I had put it in. Once i set the Behringer to Mackie mode (instead of Logic control mode) and turned on the envelopes on each track both pan and levels worked perfectly. Thanks for the help.
