I've talked to some people at my college about freelancing and any sort of benefits there would be to starting a business, and basically they told me I just need to file taxes and I can do whatever. Right now, I'm working on an independent web show, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of benefits or downfalls to starting a business (or a production company) to head that, or to make my freelance stuff larger. The people at my school don't know much about this sort of thing. Any thoughts?
