Assuming that you were able to hack the connections to fit the DVX (I mean, plenty of people evidently use 35mm lenses with their DVXs, so that's not impossible) would this gadget even work with video?

The only "practical" way would be to use this in conjunction with one of the 35mm lens adapters being made by Red Rock and many others (a cursory search on this site will yield lots of info).

We manufactured a system like this specifically for 35 mm Cine Cameras (the Clarimont SwingShift System) which while very slick is very specialized and has specific uses.

I am not sure just what you plan to do, or the effect you want to achieve, but it is not impossible.
