if it works well it could be better than sliced bread. Old school 40gb ipods are cheap as hell on ebay with the batteries burned up. And since u could make this run off external battery that wouldn't matter. I'm excited to see how well it works, especially for "under $300"

As I understand, it records the output from the camera, so if it's set for 24pA, that's what is recorded.
