being a daddy

Simply rocks.
I get to be santa, the tooth fairy and today, the easter bunny.
The kiddoes are growin' up fast and today, no eggs were just laying in the yard. Man we'll be finding eggage in the yard for months yet as I got to really do some hiding this year. I have a house full of candy-munchin kids, a glowing wife and a tail-waggin' dog.
Awesomeness.

happy easter, everybody.

Back atcha. My kids went on an egg hunt yesterday and got almost as much loot as they did on Halloween. This morning they reaped the benefits of thrift-minded mom who spends the entire year looking for various holiday goodies she can plant on days just like today. If it were me I'd have been spending 15 bucks on stale chocolate bunny at 11 last night. Instead they got a ton of cool stuff for less than I'd shell out for a few mini-dv tapes.

13, 12 ans 9 now.
Heck yeah they do. All three smarter than me. All three sweeter than me.
World by the tail.

No doubt. My daughter was born while i was in college still and now she is turning 8. Dosent matter how crappy your day/week/month/year is, one look at her and its all BS. i think i will have to invest in some heavy artillery when she gets to 13-14 though.

Yeah my daughter is almost 8 now and I used to worry about that. Now, after seeing how she works the playground and gets everybody to do her bidding, I worry about them.... Instead of sitting on the porch cleaning my shotgun when they pull up, I'm gonna say "Son, are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into?"

My lil Tera Star came to me not long ago with "Daaad? How old do I have to be to go on a date?"
gulp went the lump because like getting their ears pierced, they are ready when they ask.
I so wanted to yell, "boys! fooey, lets go skip jump some rocks!" but out came "Shoog, I'll drop you and a fella off at the movies whenever ya like."
Then I hitailed it to the bathroom to cry.
Now, she still hasn't gone and I assume it's cuz nobody has asked yet. When she turns 15, a 16 year old can pick her up and have her home by 11 if he passes the daddy test but she knows already that if he fails, he's gettin sent home and she and I are going out for a burger.
We go on "practice dates". I show her how a gentleman is to act on these practice dates and what she is to do if one of these capital rules are broken. My rules are very simple. All doors are opened for her. And if he tries to kiss her cheek before kissing her hand, she is to ***** slap him.
lol

My daughter just turned 27. I am so glad I never have to go through the teen years again. Believe me when I say it is pure hell.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

<sigh>

My oldest of two (both girls) just turned 3 last week. My youngest (born on my birthday) will turn two in October... So, that ought to be fun in about 10 years :)

After the 2nd girl, I got snipped. Don't need a son to carry on my name... I'd just end up with 7 girls if I tried to go down that road anyways :) Especially with the odds stacked against me... The wife is 1 of 7 siblings... 6 of which are girls. And, out of like 17 grandkids, all but one are girls. I know, I know... The chromosome comes from the man.. But, that's a battle I'm not willing to fight :)

But, seriously... I'm quite happy with having two girls (at least while they are this age) Even the younger one who got the crazy streak from her father

later,
Jason

well not to make this thread a bummer but those of you thinking about gettin' snipped, think twice.
Most go fine but the doc who did me botched the left side resulting in a rupture that happened about once a week, sending sperm into my blood stream while feeling like quite the donkey kick. After two more surguries to try to fix it, including one that cut my nad in half, they finally just plucked it out completely with a "sorry 'bout that... heres the bill(s)".
To this day I have what they call phantom pain. Which is insulting as in suggests it's all in my head. It's not. I hurt everyday.. more when the barometric pressure rises. On a scale from one to ten, my pain level is an irritating 2.5 right now.
So in short, scalpals and scrotes are in no way a mix. Wrap the rascal or watch tv.
